The Islamic Dictionary aims at presenting a specialized Islamic dictionary comprising a massive collection of terms and meanings covering all Islamic studies such as: the Qur'an, Hadith, Jurisprudence, Creed, History and others. Includes more than 55,000 Arabic terms and meanings translated into English, French, Malay and Indonesian.
The Islamic Dictionary is outstanding in its simple display, fast search and accurate meanings of items included in the fields of Faith, Jurisprudence, Economy, History, Islamic Art and Architecture, in addition to sections tackling many other fields supported by multimedia technology. It displays an indexed dictionary of 35,000 words from the Holy Qur'an with their meanings. It also cross-references these words to verses where they are found in a copy of the Holy Qur'an.
The Islamic Dictionary presents a group of specialized indexes of the Attributes of Allah, names of Paradise, Hell and Resurrection, along with cross-referencing these names to Qur'anic verses where they are mentioned or referred to. A section is dedicated to the terminology of Islamic ethics and proprieties, knowledge and manners of its attainment. It also includes terms on the Science of Hadith and their meanings.
The History of Islam General indexes: which include indexes of Qur'anic verses, Hadiths, poetic verses, biographical names, etc. Special indexes: which include indexes of military events, revolutions, natural disasters, major battles and conquests, etc. The text material of the program is supported with a library of illustrative maps accompanied by audio commentary.
The History of Islam has ample information and images of famous mosques spread throughout the Muslim world with accompanying audio commentary. Qur'anic verses are served with reference information and linked to the related web page on al-islam com, which provides more elaborate Qur'anic services.
